The School Day
At The Lion Works School, we focus on our school values of Ambition, Resilience and Community threaded through our school day. We utilise timetables that allow students to grow their independence.
Timetable
Our school day begins at 8:45 with our students being greeted. In class, they meet their tutor and Independence Assistants, where students begin their learning through the practice of reading and mental maths skills.
Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 have separate break times, at 10:15-10:30 and 11:00-11:15 respectively.
There is a half hour break for lunch at midday, where students have the opportunity to eat and socialise together.
The school day ends at 3:15. Our staff are always there to wish a fond farewell and to welcome everybody back the following school day.
